I am planning to apply for ISO 16949 certification. What are its requirements in terms of measuring instruments?

The technical specification TS 16949 is an application of ISO 9001 for the series production of spare parts in the automotive industry. The requirements are specified in paragraph 7.6. This text specifies a number of requirement, including 7.6.1 Measurement system analysis, 7.6.2 Calibration-verification records. These requirements are similar to those found the standard ISO/IEC 17025 applying to laboratories, i.e. determining the measurements and measuring instruments that impact (or can impact) the validity of the measurement, test or inspection results.
