What are the different types of service providers?

There are a lot of metrology service providers. Some are specialised in particular aspects of metrology (electricity, etc.), while others cover a very wide scope. Some laboratories are independent, while others belong to companies with extensive networks. A number of national metrology laboratories engaged in significant calibration activities are associated with the LNE.
